How to Get Your Kids to Enjoy Maths

“Maths. Some kids hate it, some kids love it.” The start of Morgan’s blog review of Smartick hits the nail on the head. Fortunately, since discovering Smartick, her kids have been able to enjoy maths and the programme. You can read her post on Morgan’s Milieu here.

We’ve all had this thought when it comes to maths. It’s such a crucial subject that parents are always searching for ways to offer their children a different approach in order to help them.

With this in mind, I’d like to introduce you to Morgan, the latest mum to review Smartick on her blog. Her two kids are using it and they’ve really been enjoying their maths! As Morgan says, she’s very lucky because both of her kids already love maths and are doing well at school. However, she understands that being good at maths at the present moment doesn’t ensure that they always will be without practice.

“As with everything, practising is key”

Though there are other apps to help children with maths, they do not encourage children to learn more, cause they are basically associated with the school homework. Whereas in Smartick, as it constantly adapts to the child’s learning pace, children are being encouraged to learn new concepts as they go, which means a positive and rewarding challenge for them.

As the title states, the idea behind Smartick is to help your child enjoy maths. Smartick facilitates this by getting children to practise for just 15 minutes every day. Each child works on different types of exercises, progressing at their own pace, building self-confidence, avoiding frustration and developing a positive attitude to maths.

“He doesn’t see it as a chore, he thinks it’s fun!”

Something that Morgan loves about Smartick is that students not only work on simple calculations but also on complex questions, mental calculation, and algebra. This helps your child develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills.

She also explains the concept of the Virtual World to her readers. Children have the option to enjoy Smartick for longer by accessing it after they’ve finished their daily session.

We love to hear how excited her son is about earning as many stars as possible so he can “buy” all sorts of fun stuff for his virtual house. We were especially glad to hear how motivated he is to earn as many diplomas as he can.

Another great feature Morgan points out is that it can be used anywhere, on a PC or tablet.

“Even if you’re going to be away from home, the children can still do their daily test”

Finally, Morgan urges her readers to try Smartick this summer. You can start enjoying the benefits of Smartick by clicking here.
