Carrie from Loving Life Outside the Box is a seasoned homeschooling mom of 5 children, ranging from ages 5 to 14. Her family enjoys the outdoors and their homeschool days are filled with creative ideas to make learning fun! When we reached out to her, she was interested to hear more about our math program. She quickly signed her kids up for Smartick!
What Carrie likes best about our program
“We chose to use Smartick as a stand-alone program for the last month and we were pleasantly surprised with it. The kids loved that it only required 15 minutes a day. They looked forward to earning their ticks for the day and using those to add fun flair to their avatars. They really liked that after their 15-minute session, they were told how many problems they accomplished correctly in that time and that they were given the opportunity to fix the ones they got wrong. I liked that the program isn’t aligned with state standards and there’s no Common Core, just common sense. I also like that I was kept in the loop. I was sent an email every day when the kids finished their work and notified if they tried to skip out of it.”
Smartick is often used as a supplement or as an after-school activity. However, it can also work as a stand-alone program for some families. We are happy to hear that is the case for Loving Life Outside the Box!
Her kids have different approaches to learning math. Some of them love the subject, others not so much. The fact that Smartick is able to give each one of them what they need to keep them motivated through their learning plays an important part for Carrie’s family.
Finally, Carrie encourages her readers to try out Smartick for free. Why not check it out for yourself?
