Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our modern world, transforming various industries and impacting our daily lives. As technology continues to advance, understanding public opinions and expectations regarding AI becomes crucial.
According to a recent Ipsos survey conducted for the World Economic Forum, it was found that approximately six out of ten adults from 28 countries believe that artificial intelligence (AI) will have a profound impact on their daily lives in the next three to five years. Additionally, half of the respondents felt that AI has already brought significant changes in the past few years.
Globally, the majority of people hold optimistic views regarding the potential benefits of AI in various aspects of their lives. These include areas such as education and learning, entertainment, transportation, home life, shopping, safety, the environment, and food and nutrition. However, opinions are divided when it comes to the impact of AI on income, personal and family relationships, and employment, with approximately 47% expressing uncertainty about its benefits.
Moreover, in most countries, only a minority of individuals believe that AI will positively influence the cost of living, as well as freedom and legal rights.
The survey results reflect the diverse perspectives and expectations surrounding AI across different regions. While many individuals anticipate positive changes in numerous areas of their lives, there are concerns and uncertainties related to income, personal relationships, and employment. Additionally, expectations regarding the impact of AI on the cost of living and legal rights remain relatively low in most countries.
